SSR Selfe

 I read 23 pages of ninja kid illustrated by Anh Do.

I did a sheet called ssr selfe and did a sentence of what the character is and what happened so far.

I like the book because it does ninja moves and does lot of fighting to get the monter away.

Basic Facts Boxes

 I complce a can-do tasks called basic facts boxes.

I open up a sheet and started answing the addition problems and then I started timing myself and I did it up to 10 and I got 100/100. I did it on 3 minutes 37 seconds. 

I think I need to get to a harder level because I got 100/100 and got it in I got 3 minutes 37 seconds.

HPE/Team work

 Teamwork is a term to describe a group of people working together to achieve a goal.

Teamwork consists of three main mechanisms. Commuication is teammates talking to each other. 

Cooperation is helping each other and including each other.

Collaboration is working with each other to achieve a goal .

                                             This video shows the meahanisms of communition.

                                         This video shows the meahanisms of collaboration.

                                       This video shows the meahanisms of cooperation.

To be successful as a team all all three meahanisms need to implemented throughout the activity.

Making Connetions

 Making Connetions is a reading strategy that connetions to other thing that are the same and text to self, text to text and text to world.

Text to self is talking about something that links to yourself and the story. for example: I trick my brother from going to the shop to buy bubble gum,The duck tells the rat she has a sister with lots of treats.

Text to Text is comparing 2 stories to eachother. for example:The duck was leading the Highway rat into a trap,The fox in the story of  gingerbread man trick the gingerbread man from going to the other side but instead eat him.

Text to World is comparing the world and the story. for example: The duck gives food back that the highway rat stole from the animal in village, People gives food to people because their are kind and their have know food.

Making connections is an important way to understand a definition or similarity. Connections are stuff that connetions to other thing. 

Marc Duffy

 Marc Duffy is a student in school and a duffy rolemodel.

Marc learnt to read in prision and came out with a school certificate and diploma in business. 

Marc is a NewZealand boxing lightweight champ. Marc learnt the trade of a builder and owned his own business. Marc worked for Bunnings fitting out their stores. Now he is a marnger the largest store in NZ,which is in Hamiltion. Marc went back to university to become a counsellor.

Marc Duffy is good speaker and a good at reading.

Multipcation

 Multipcation is a fast way of adding the same number many times. The three,four and six times tables are examples of multipcation.

The three times table are multiplying three by a number a groups.

The four times tables are multiplying four by a number a groups.

The six times table are multiplying six by a number a groups.

The times tables are an easy way to remember basic multipcation equations. The next times table to learn are the 7,8 and 9.

SSR Selfie

 I read this book called Big Cats.

I read up to 14 pages. Big Cats are lions, tigers, leopards, and others.

Big Cats are cool,  I want to read more about big cats and learn more about different cats.

Public vs Private

Public information is a information that you can share information online. Private information Is a information that you cannot share online.

The public information means that your showing and sharing thing's online get share to everyone like on youtube.

A private information means that your photos will not get share online like a photo of your dad picing his nose.

If information is not keep safe it will be brodcast, shared ,stolen or copied.

Character trait/The duck

A character trait is describing the action of a certain character in a book. In the story of the Highway Rat there are 3 main characters that can be used to infer.

The Duck is a clever because the Duck tells the Rat that she has a sister with a lot of junk-food. This shows that the Duck is clever because by tricking the rat.

The Duck Is kind because she brings back all of the village food. The Duck gave water to the horse. This shows that the Duck cares about others animals.

Inferring is a strategy to show an understanding about how or why characters do things. 

Multipcation

Multipcation is a fast way of adding the same number many times. The two, five, and times tables are examples of multipcation.

The two times table are multiplying two by a number a groups.

Prototec

Today I complete a can-do task called Prototec on stage 4.

I had to do my I had to do my 100 and subtraction to 10 and I got  47 out of 60.

I need to practice more because I got 47 out of 60.

Alex Rider

 I read a book called Alex Rider.

I read 20 page of Alex Rider.

Alex does a lot of spy mission for his famliy.

I like Alex Rider because he does spy mission. 

Fact or Opinion

 I complete a task called  Fact or Opinion.

First the class  listened to the story called The highway rat. Then we did a character study on 2 different characters from the story the duck and the horse.I wrote about the duck.

Next I had to do fact and opinion the duck about the duck is the duck said "there were food on the mountain.
 
Lastly we had to find 5 adjective on each box by using the thesaurus. These adjectives described the character traits.

I think I need to work on my adjective because I did not know which are adjective and which are verbs.

Multiplication

 I did multiplication with a group.

Multiplication is a faster way to add up the same number many times.

First I took a big group of counter of a unknown amount. Next I split the unknown amount into a small group 5. Then I counted the small group with 5. There were 8 groups of five.

Lastly I made rectangle with the counter and used multiplication to find out the unknown amount which was 40.

I enjoyed using multiplication because it is faster to add the same number many times.
