America’s Cup

I learnt about America’s Cup.

First I read the main imformation about the America's Cup then I put the imformation in the side and sorting the who what when where.  

Next I summarising 20 important words from the main ideas. Then I wote 6 of the most important words from that list. Then I did a sencentences with the 6 words to summarise the information.

Lastly I did evaluating I had to copy and paste the summarising sencentences for the first box. Then I wote facts about America's Cup to tell when or where it started and did it in the second box. Then I had to write questions about things I wanted to find out more about.

Using these 3 strategies can be useful for other learning because they help to sort information.

AFL Traning Week 2

We went AFL traning our Coach was Coach Bex.

 

First we learned a new skill called tip off and mark. Tip Off is a skill that you have to get into three group and you have to thorw the ball and the two other people have to smack the ball.

Next we continue practising the hand ball and the drop kick. Then we played octopus and bomb Island. 

I feeled tired and thirsty and fun.

Prototec

 Today I complete a can-do task called Prototec on stage 4

I had to do my I had to do my 100 and subtraction to 10 I got 41 out of 60 

I think that I need to practice more because I got 41 out of 60.

The Highway Rat

Visualization is a reading strategy to try and get the image inside of your head.

Highway Rat is about a Rat who is greedy and steels everyones food. He learns a lesson and everyone lives happily.

My Visualization is different to others because my one has the highway rat was riding the horse in the cave.       

We have different Visualization because everyone had different imagination.                                      

Place Value

 Place Value is a sytem that groups numbers based on their size.

The position of a digt detemins its value. When we say numbers we group then within the same hase. For example 15709 has fiften thousand seven hundreds nine ones.

Understanding our base 10 place value system allows us to pronaunce big numbers properly.It also allows us to pronaunce big numbers before and after.

Basic Facts Boxes

  I complete a can-do task called basic facts boxes.

  First I open up a sheet call Basic Facts Boxes then I started answing the maths.

I think I need to go to a harder level because I got 100 out of 100.

Mihi Whakatau

Mihi Whakatau is a Maori term for a greeting.

Mihi Whakatau is traditionally used for welcoming, introductions and openings. It is undertaken by the Tangata Whenua (local inhabitants)

The Mihi needs to acknowledge the significant aspects to the place. The Maunga (mountain), Awa (river), and Iwi (tribe) are generally used.

Introducing Ingoa (name), Oku Tipuna (ancestoral place) and where you live is important for the audience to understand the positions of the Speaker. 

Manuhiri is the term used to describe or group the visitors that are being welcomed.

It is important to end with warm welcome so the visitor know that there is no hostility in the 2 groups being together.

Being respectful of the land, the people and the purpose of a visit will ensure long lasting relationships and connections.

 

SSR Selfie

 I read this book it called The Avengers I read 20 page of The Avengers.

 In the first page the hulk was the first Avengers before hulk was the hulk he was 

Bruce Banner.once they was a boy named Sam Wilson and he was going to be Falcon. 

Basic Facts Boxes

 

        I complete a can-do task called basic facts boxes.                                                                                                                        

          First we went to the Basic Facts Boxes sheet then open up a timer and started answering the maths.                                                  

           I think that I need to practice more and get fatser.            

 

Prototec

Today I practice Prototec on stage 4.

I had to do my doubles and halves and I got 57 out of 60. 

I think that I need to go to a harder level.

AFLTraning

On the field we did skills for Aussie Rules with Coach Jack.                                         

First we learned how to throw.We have to do the pirate dance.

Then we learned to kick. you have to hold the ball like a M sign and you have to drop the to your foot and kick it.

When we played octopus. octopus is a game that you have to thown the ball to the person if you get tag by the ball you have to stand like a sewed. 

At the end I feel tired and it was very fun.

Print Design Rules

I learned about the Print Design Rules.

First Mr Wong taught us about the main aspects of the Print Design Rules,colour,layout,text and composition.Next I figured out which posters were good and and bad with my partners.Last I reorganised a poster to make it look good.

I could make the poster look good by alined the image.

Handwriting

I learned how to write the alphbet,numbers and symbols properly. 

I watched a videos to show neat handwriting.I wrote the characters neatly into my writing book.

I need to practise my Qq and Ww.  

                        

                                                                          

LS1 Treaty

 We learnt about the 3 Ps in the Treaty of Waitangi and how they apply to our learning.

First Mr Ogilvie introduced the 3 Ps in the Treaty of Waitangi .They are Partnership, protection and participation.

Then in groups we wrote statements about the 3 Ps in LS1.LS1 figured out the 3 Ps are all connected. After that we used out group ideas and thought about how they connected to me.

I chose these 3 statemnts because they will help me be successful with my learning in LS1.
