Art

 I created a art pattern called Art face.

First, drawed the Art on a paper.

Next, I drawed a Art on a goggle drawing.

I enjoyed this activity because I used my creativitiy idea to create art.



Stepweb

 I did steps web activitys. 

The first activity I did was called choose the word, I had to put the correct in the box. 



The next activity was drop, I had to put a letters in a bow to speel to word.



I like this activity because learn a lot in stepweb.


Typing

 I did a task called Dance Mat Typing.

First, I put my hands on the Home row and started practicing typing keys.

Next I learned how to type I, and E.

Then I practiced how to type these alphabets.

Lastly, I put what I did on the google slide.

I think I should try to do it on a higher level.

Team Problem Solving

 I did a task called problem solving. We were split into four different groups and had to solve a problem using place value, rounding and compensating and written algorithm.


The problem we solved was: A farm received a total of 119 millimetres of rain over a 2 month period. If 48 millimetres of rain fell on the farm in June, how many millimetres of rain fell on the farm in month 2?

First we used place value to solve the problem. first we start with the ones:

119 - 48 = ??

ONES - 9 - 8 = 1

TENS - 10 - 40 is not possible so we have to add the I hundred to the ten.

110 - 40 = 70.

Last step is to combine the answers. 70 + 1 = 71, So 71 millimetres fell on the farm on the second month.

This strategy is helpful cause you can solve problems more faster.

Portry

 I completed a task called Poetry. This task is where I find items around my house and make them into peoms.

Next I had to think of a verb. The verb I thought of was brighten.

Afterwards I found items around my house with colours on it which I found a bright sun is yellow, red is the first colour in the rainbow, I like the colour blue, giraffe has brown spots, have you ceck the grey closet, the pink pig is big, eat your orange pumpkin, net the green.

This task was fun cause I got to find eight items around the house like scavenger hunt.

Opinion

 LS1 and I learned to share opinion.


First we shared our opinion with first picture of what the animal was. I thought the picture was a moa but the picture was a rabbit and a duck. 


Next we did the next picture. The next picture was how many legs do you see. I thought the animal had 4 legs. 


I enjoyed this task because I liked how it almost tricked me.  
















I saw the cat first because eyes, nose, mouth and the whiskers.

Starryteller [Mars]

 My group, and I  did an activity.


First we read the first part of the story about Haritnia Mogosanu Starryteller by Clare Knighton and we talked about Mars and the Utah desert.


Next we did an activity called a venn diagram. We had to compare the Utah desert with Mars.


I enjoyed this task because I learnt new things about Mars the planet.  




Skip counting and Repeated Addition

We learnt how to use skip counting and repeated addition to figure out the multiplication and division promble.


Skip counting is counting up and down using the same number. For example : Sam has seven 5 doller notes how much money does he have all together?
 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35. The answer is 35. We did 7 lots of 5 to figure the answer.                                                                                   

Repeating Addition is repeating a certain number to get a answer for a problem. For example: Mike was at the beach for five days he collected 14 sea shells every day to keep. how many shells deos he have in total? 
14 +14 +14 +14 +14 =70. We did 5 lots of 14 to figure out the answer.

I enjoyed this actitvty because I learnt how to use skip counting and repeating numbers.

PBS Olympics

 LS1 and I compared Panmure Bridge School with the Olympics.


First we did an activity called this vs that. We had to compare the Olympics motto, creed, the values and the flag with PBS. 


Next we made a google slide for Similarities and Differences between Panmure Bridge School and the Olympics.  


Lastly, we did a logo and motto about ourselves. My motto was Love your family with your heart. 


I enjoyed doing this activity because it is about the Olympics organisation.

 Compound sentences are two simple sentences using fanboys, and two actors and two actions. 

The first step is to write a simple sentenece.

The next step is write a comma and a fanboys.

The last step is to write another simple sentenece.

A compound sentence is two simple sentences joined together with two actors and two actions, and using the fanboys to join the sentences together. The fanboys are: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so.

Addition and Subtraction

 Addition and Subtraction can be solved by using two stratgies: counting on/back, rounding and compensating.

Counting on is adding forward using fingers, when the number is under ten. Counting back is subtracting uuing fingers, when the number subtraced is under ten.

Rounding and compensating is rounding the added or subtraced number to teh nearest tidy number, then compensating for teh rounding. Compensating is done by spliting teh new number into the old number and the leftover.

Counting on/back and rounding and compensating are easy stategies to use for addition and subtraction, when numbers get too big to solved with basic facts.

The Three Inventors Party Popper

 My group the three inventors, and I made a final party popper.

First we draw the design for the pictures on paper for the paper cup. 


Second we got the materials for the party popper and we attached the materials to the cup.   


To finish up we tested the party popper to see if the filling came out . Then we got a phone to take a picture and video. 


The experience was amazing because the filling exploded well.

Party Popper Prototype

My company, The Three Inventors, made a prototype of a party popper. 


First we chose the material for the prototype. We tested the parts of the prototype of which part was the best that we could use.


Second we attach the parts together into a full party popper to see how it looks. 


Last we tested the prototype to see if we have any change for the party popper.  


I learned lots about making a prototype of a party popper. I think that we should make a different party popper to make the filling explode more. We should have used the bigger rubber band but when we saw the measurement we changed the bigger rubber band into a smaller rubber band.

HPE

 I learnt about balancing with a table tennis racket.

First we learnt how to hold the table tennis racket in two ways the two was the forehand and the backhand.

Next we bouned the table tennis ball on the table tennis racket with our forehand, this is how you hold a table tennis racket: is we had to hold the table tennis racket like a gun. I got 30 for the forehand.

The next activty was bouning the ball on the table tennis racket with our backhand, we had to flip the tennis racket around from the forehand. The backhand was hard because I got only 10.

The last activty was play a game with a champion vs the challenger and we had to have turns. We had to do a drop server to start the game. The one who is standing on the champion side is the winner.

I like this activty because I learnt how to play table tennis.




Maori

I revised questions from this term.

First, I wrote who are my friends, Ko wai o mahita? is who are my teacher?, ko wai to mama? and ko wai to papa? is who are my mum and dad?.

Next, I revised Tēnā, Tērā, Tēnei.

Lastly, we played memory with a bunch of cards that we had to match the card like matching the two pen cards, and we had to say the pen's in Maori.

I enjoyed this task because I learn lots of my Maori words.

I learnt the maori alphabet and people's names from maori to english.

The first names we learnt are Irihapeti, Hakopa, Kararaina, Tarati, Elizabeth, Jacob, Caroline, Dorothy.

Then we wrote our names in maori my name is Zailett which is in maori Haireti.

I thought this activity was hard because I did not know the alphabet in maori.

Moari

We learnt how to wirte maori sentences.

First, we revised to say muri, muararorunga and waenganui. 

Mua means in, muri means out, runga means up, raro means down, and waenganui means in the middle.

Next, we revised a question. It was "Kei hea te panana?" Kei roto i te pouaka makariri.". It means where is the banana. it is in the fridge.

I like doing this because I leart how to wirte moari sentences.

Balancing

Group A went to learn balancing when throwing and catching a frisbee.

The first activity was throwing the frisbee to my partner. My partner runs to catch the frisbee and when the partner get the frisbee they had to jump and land still.

The next activity was throwing the frisbee into a score and we kept on going around. 

The last activity was a game of ultimate frisbee with two teams. There were two frisbees to score in the goal. My team won with 1 to 0. 

I found this activity hard because I kept missing the frisbee when my partner throw the firsbee to me.

HPE/Balancing

 Today we learnt how to balance by using sport equipment. We had five different stations with sport equipment.

At the first station we were doing tennis ball and tennis raket. I had to balance and hit the ball with the tennis raket while the my partner was thowing the tennis ball. I figured out that my right leg was easier while balancing and left leg was harder. 

This challenge was hard beacause I had no balance while hitting the ball.










At the secound station we were doing the hockey stick.  I had to balance and hit the ball with the hockey stick on the ground while the my partner was rolling the ball. I figured out that my left leg was better at balancing than the right leg. 

This challenge was easy because I just had to roll the ball with one leg.
















At the thrid station was the egg and spoon. I had to balance on one leg and hold the spoon with the egg on the spoon. I figured out that my left leg was better at balancing than the right leg. 

This challenge was hard beacause I keep on falling to the ground.
